Dr. Tonyia Winston serves as a Trustee for the Village of Sauk Village, bringing decades of leadership experience in public service, healthcare administration, and community advocacy.
Dr. Winston is the Chief Executive Officer of NASC, a behavioral health organization dedicated to serving vulnerable populations through evidence-based treatment, recovery services, and community-centered care. Under her leadership, NASC has strengthened regulatory compliance, expanded access to care, and reinforced accountability across clinical and operational systems.
With a strong background in governance, compliance, and fiscal oversight, Dr. Winston is deeply committed to transparency, ethical leadership, and responsible stewardship of public resources. Her professional expertise includes organizational leadership, accreditation of readiness, policy development, and strategic planning—skills she brings directly to her role as Trustee.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Dr. Winston is deeply invested in education, faith, and community empowerment. She mentors higher-education students at Kennedy-King College through the One Million Degrees program, supporting student success, persistence, and career readiness. She also serves as the Moderator of S.O.S. (Serving Our Saints) at New Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church, where she helps lead service-driven outreach and community support initiatives.
Dr. Winston is also a proud mother of three adult children, all serving in the public service arena—a Registered Nurse, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and a Parole Case Manager. She is the grandmother of five, including two adult grandchildren, one of whom serves as a United States Marine and another as an RBT therapist, and she is also the great-grandmother of one great-granddaughter. Her family’s commitment to service reflects the values that guide her personal life and public leadership.
As a lifelong advocate for community well-being, Dr. Winston is passionate about public safety, health equity, economic stability, and ensuring that village government operates with integrity and purpose. She believes effective local government is built on collaboration, accountability, and a steadfast commitment to serving residents.
