The Housing Authority of Sauk Village was certified in July of 1987 by the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs. The purpose of any housing authority is to promote and ensure the availability of safe, decent and sanitary housing in the region.


Goals and Missions

1. To improve the current housing stock by offering assistance to homeowners.

2. To affirmatively market the community in order to perpetuate the economic and racial diversity of the area.

3. To aid low and moderate income households.

4. To encourage and facilitate cooperation between and among realtors, homeowner associations and the community.

5. To work in cooperation with other government agencies, whether federal, state or local, and other housing authorities in the region with similar goals.
