Beverly Sterrett began her employment with Sauk Village in January 1991 functioning in the capacity of Finance Officer for many years. Her position was elevated to department head status and her title was changed to Finance Director in 2000. Beverly received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Roosevelt University. She has done course work toward a Masters in Business Administration and has also taken numerous classes and training for finance officers. She earned the status of Certified Illinois Government Finance Officer in 1998.

Beverly is the Village's representative to Diversity, Inc., and Chair of the Human Relations Commission. Beverly (originally from Buffalo, NY) and her husband Jose (originally from the Republic of Panama) are long time residents of Sauk Village moving to the Village in 1985 where they raised their daughter Emma.
