(CDBG)

The Community Development Block Grant Fund (CDBG) is a Capital Project Fund established to account for the receipt and expenditure of federal grant funding awarded to the Village of street redevelopment and reconstruction. The grant is awarded directly to the Village from the federal government by way of Cook County based on project need.

Pursuant to federal requirements, the CDBG funding is expended on the construction of new streets including engineering cost. All cost must be expended on construction with any matching funds spent for engineering cost. Other Capital project Funds are the Tax Increment Financing Funds (T.I.F.)
